20th thing!
The Final Thing-Wow, I made it, and it feels good to know that I actually did this without any prompting or pushing from Martha!
Some of my favorite discoveries were that I'm not really afraid of computers after all! This was really a daunting task, especially for people like me, I had to accept responsiblity for my own learning, and I did it! Once I found that I could do this at my own pace, well that was very helpful.
With everything that goes on in a library, I feel that with this exercise, I'm more in tune to helping patrons besides my self with the internet and all it has to offer.
I think my favorite this from this exercise was setting up the blog and actually talking about my self and my personal feelings!
ROCK ON!!!!!

19th thing!
PodCasts-Interesting! I could not get into podcast.net, so I went into Yahoo Podcasts and listened a panel of so called experts talk about weither reviews still sell books, of course they do, how else would a book sell.
As far as the Podcast goes, it's supposed to help the user feel more comfortable with web tools, helping us to reach out to our users, interacting with information, with that said, the Internet is constantely changing, and we need to keep up or else!

18th thing!
WEB 2.0
Really liked this site! It totaly relates to our Library, especially the site I picked. I looked at Biblio.com-it is a marketplace for used, rare and out of print books, and they service over 5,500 independent book stores.
I think this site would be good for our system because, there are always patrons looking for books that are either old, or we don't have in the system anymore.

17th Thing.
On the Road Again---
I personally like using Microsoft Office, I see nothing wrong with it! As far as Google Docs, or Zoho Writer, I not quite comfortable using Google Docs, because I don't like the idea that someone could get my information easily.
Creating and sharing documents over the internet, well I guess it's just keeping up with the jones!!

12th thing! Tagging
del.icio.us - A social bookmarking site that allows users to bookmark many sites and then tag them with many descriptive words, allowing other people to search by those terms to find pages that other people found useful.
Couldn't say it any better myself!!!!

9th Thing! Feeds
Technorati-How do I begin, I realize that this exercise helps you look for specific and current blogs, but come on---the three things that I searched (Hilary Clinton, Life after College, & fashion) the responses were very negative and in my opinion not taken seriously! Maybe I just don't get the jest of this exercise, I guess I'm not a computer nerd!!!

8th thing!
Library Thing is cool, it's like a book group with leaving your home! I like the fact that I can talk to people about books, and that there are actually people out there that actually read the same thing that I do. In the Library where I work, I have people asking constantley what I'm reading, then they ask to be put on the same list. That's Cool!!!!

6th
Fasinating! It was a little weird, but I finally found someone who reads the same as me, and isn't afraid to say so!
4th
Youtube rocks, I liked the fact that you can see virtually anything your heart desires! It's amazing what people want you to see!
3rd
I have a very hard time accepting responsibility for learning anything concerning computers. I don't feel comfortable with technical things.
